An Aluminum heatsink is the most widely used product for thermal solutions. Aluminum (Aluminium) is the second most widely used metal in the world after Iron.The properties that make a aluminium heatsink popular include:

Although the thermal properties are less than copper, An aluminum heatsink weighs approximately half as much as a copper conductor having the same conductivity, and is also less expensive. Aluminum reacts with oxygen in air to form an extremely thin layer of Aluminum Oxide. Anodizing increases the thickness of the oxide layer and improves the strength of the natural corrosion protection. Compared with other metals, aluminum has a relatively large coefficient of linear expansion. Aluminum's malleability is essential for the extrusion process, and in bending and other forming products.
An Extruded Heatsink can have very complex cross-sections, and use materials that are brittle. The extrusion forms parts with an excellent surface finish, and are ideal for additional surface treatments such as Anodizing, or plating. Usually aluminum alloy A6063 200 W/(m-K) is the most popular material for heatsink manufacturers. A Extruded heatsink is suitable for high volume production as it has a relatively low NRE. The molds are typically made with an EDM wire machine, and the Tooling lead time is typically 2-4 weeks. The most cost effective when post machining is not required as additional CNC machining may relive the stress, causing misshape. This can be minimized by special thermal treatment to limit failures due to stress.

If the size of the aluminum heat sink produced is small, it is to be packaged with a blister box, which has a good protective effect. It shall be kept neat and tidy, and is convenient for customers during installation.
If the size of aluminum heat radiator is rather heavy, the radiator is generally wrapped with a kraft paper or Poly bag, and then put the radiator into a box, then several boxes into a carton.
If the radiator is flat, two or three radiators can be placed in a box, depending on the size of the box and radiator. Separated by pressing edges with Polylon foam or EPE, and sealed after adding desiccant.
